The product of a Chemist for a father, and a mother who is a retired music and science teacher, DJ Madd developed a passion for music and technology at an early age. Known for his ability to create musical gadgets from spare parts and teaching fellow DJs and musicians how to use their new gear - without manuals, he was dubbed "The Madd Scientist"! He taught himself how to DJ by listening to Dr. Rock, DJ Snake, and Jazzy Jeff on the radio. His professional journey started out by DJing house parties and progressed to DJing large frat parties and step shows at area universities such as UTA, SMU, TWU, and UNT. His career took a giant leap in the mid 90s when his best friend and fellow DJ, Throwdown Sam, was hired by k104FM. His production, beat making, and remix skills were showcased on the long-running "Saturday Night Mix show with Throwdown Sam". The exposure from that coveted time slot led to many other opportunities on the radio station such as being a featured remixer on "The Nippy Jones show" and "Tight at Night" with Boss & Coco Budda. In 2010 he joined forces with fellow DJ and friend, DJ Taz as the mixer for "The Power Hour" on Fishbowl Radio Network. Currently DJ Madd Scientist is a very sought after Audio Production Producer. His credits include everything from having the 2nd most downloaded remix on 8th Wonder Digital DJ Pool, to doing the mixes for dance squads featured on the Lifetime reality show" Bring it". Madd also created the mix for the 2020 Ms. Olympia winner's routine.
In his spare time DJ Madd enjoys cooking, taking long parks in the walk, and listening to instrumentals of acapellas.
